open mic

I host an Open Mic on the First & Third Saturdays of the month at my favorite neighborhood Coffee House, The Brothers K, on the corner of Main & Hinman in Evanston.

Sign up begins at 5:30pm and the performances are from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Musicians generally play two songs each and over the past year we've been treated to the sounds of guitar, banjo, ukulele, upright bass, cello, violin, saxophone, keyboard, harmonica, and lots of original music by some of Chicago's most talented musicians!

We have a simple 4-Channel PA with 2 lines for instruments and 2 Sure SM58 Vocal Mics on boom stands to accommodate performers.
